These are vibram five fingers: However, I have syndactyly affecting both of my feet. I love the idea of having my toes separated which is why I prefer barefoot so much more than shoes. Vibram five fingers have always appealed to me. However, I cannot wear them. I wrote Vibram and asked for a pair of shoes to cut up and make acceptable for all the people with toes like mine, but they seemed completely uninterested.

I love my country. My sense of patriotism has grown since I was a child to what it is today. I can't imagine being a citizen in any other country (I hope all foreign nationals feel the same about their country). What does it really mean to be a patriot? Patriotism is support of your country... I believe my country was founded on a principal of liberty. Liberty is the state of being free from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life or behavior (or political views).

My daughter Gianna has Alopecia Areata (more particularly Alopecia totalis). She's bald -- completely. She's three and just now she is beginning to become a bit self-conscious about her different appearance. It's understandable... kids are cruel, no one (young) really likes to be different. Lisa and I are exploring getting Gianna a nice wig to make her feel more like she fits. For now, I shaved my head so she's not the only one bald in the house.

Tori has arrived.

We're all very excited to announce the newest addition to clan Schlossnagle. Tori Eowyn Schlossnagle was born via Cesarean on May 15th at 12:35pm. At birth she weighed 8 pounds 4.8 ounces and stretched to 21 inches. Hospital stays are always exhausting, but the whole familary is back at home resting now. Some pictures of our beautiful third daughter.

Recap.

A lot has happened since I last chimed in. I’ll go over it all with blinding terseness. My wife and I are expecting another life form. We hired Robert Treat, who is an awesome addition to the OmniTI team. We moved offices. The new offices are awesome. Cavalier screwed us and blamed it on Verizon (and they are probably right to do so). We have no PRI line, so the phone situation will be entirely inadequate for the next week or so.

My Zoe

Occasionally I manage to shoot some good photos with my Sony T1. I love the camera because of its portabliity, but the lack extensive optics make it hard to take spectacular pictures. However, when the lighting is just right… Zoe’s 21 months old now and talking up a storm now – every once in a while we here a structured sentence. She clearly knows what she wants and what she wants to say.

Zoe talks trash

So, I have been anxiously awaiting Zoe's first intelligible conversation. Every time I think she is a step closer.... she's not. She has been saying the words "dog and duck" for a while now (about a month), but she has trouble with the last consonant... So, there's been a lot of "duh" in my house as of late. However, late last week, we made a breakthrough. After repeatedly speaking what we do in the house (Lisa and I are like a walking talking episode of Sesame Street), Zoe has learned to talk trash!
